The Sunday Paper & Half Off Depot: Graphic designer/Web developer

  • Created fully-functional e-commerce website and complementary online retail workflow that carried the site from a zero-capital startup to an international brand
  • Collaborated with Production Director and VP of Marketing to continually develop identity and voice of Half Off Depot
  • Designed website and email templates according to current trends; wrote copy for special offers and aided in establishing and managing Twitter and Facebook presence
  • Designed print/online marketing materials and managed online product inventory and ad inventory
  • Redesigned newspaper website (SundayPaper.com), improving traffic/revenue over 50% in the first year; redesigned same site again in early 2011 for relaunch as a deal website. Became primary blog contributor and allowed site to maintained pre-mission-shift traffic rates

  • During college, I worked at an adult mental health center, where I taught group activities like arts and crafts, music, and dance.
  • I'm a founding memeber of local art collective Magic Is Science, which puts on sci-fi and geek-themed art exhibits 1–2 times a year.
